Whether this is chicken or mutton, the taste of kosha mangso is heaven for the non-vegetarian peoples. However, the original source of kosha mangso is not Sundarban, it’s from Kolkata Golbari. It comes with a dark colored Dry recipe of meat. The dish goes well with rice or roti.

If you have not tried a Hilsa dish on Sundarban, then you have not tasted anything. The Sundarban fishers produce a lot of Hilsa fishes and they send it to the districts of West Bengal. The Sundarban people can cook a variety of Hilsa dishes such as ilish macher paturi, ilish vapa, ilish er jhol, ilish vaja, etc.

Prawn looks like an insect, but the Sundarban people prepare delicious dishes with prawns. You can collect prawn from Sundarban. The dishes made with prawn are Chingri macher malaikari, Chingri kosha, Chingri fry, etc. They can also prepare many dishes with the tiny Chingri fishes.
